Paving works on Scriitorilor Street in Chinteni were completed on 23 September 2026, mayor Lucia Suciu announced. The investment now enters the acceptance stage, when the quality of the works will be checked.
Chinteni now has two charging stations for electric and plug-in hybrid cars, with 50–100 kW fast charging and 22 kW points, funded through Romania's recovery plan (PNRR). They are in the Medical Centre car park on Unirii Street and on Ion Creangă Street.

Balul Ionilor is an old tradition in Chinteni commune: on 7 January, the feast of Saint John the Baptist, people named Ion and Ioana, together with the whole community, gather for dancing, music and celebration.
