Chinteni (Hungarian: Kajántó) is a commune in Cluj County, north of Cluj-Napoca, made up of nine villages set among hills, forests and the lake that bears its name. It keeps old wooden churches, traditions and a fast-growing community.

Construction of the new Medical Center in Chinteni, with medical offices grouped by specialty and a Cluj ISU station, began in 2020, with an investment of over 10 million lei. The 3-storey, 3,000 sqm building will serve residents of the communes of Chinteni, Panticeu, Vultureni and Așchileu, and the ISU station will be equipped with a fire engine and a SMURD ambulance.
Feasibility studies for the Chinteni Aquapark began in 2015. In 2017 details were made public, including the cost of 20 million euros and a 3-year construction period, and in 2018 the plans were presented. Despite difficulties in the following years, the project progressed until 2022.
About 12 km from Cluj-Napoca lies Chinteni Lake, a natural lake owned by Chinteni Town Hall and managed by AJVPS Cluj. The lake is set up for fishing and hosts sport fishing competitions.
