Vegetation / Pasture - Video, 2022

Located near the village of Deușu - Diós, this is one of the most spectacular forest pastures in the areas neighboring Cluj-Napoca. Here four species of oak can be found (Quercus robur, Q. cerris, Q. petraea, Q. iberica), with the dominance of Q. robur and Q. cerris species. The pasture is grazed by cattle, buffaloes, sheep and goats. The shrubs represented by hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and wild dog rose (Rosa canina) are rare and facilitate tree regeneration in the pasture. Tree species in this forest pasture include linden (Tilia cordata - the largest tree in the forest pasture belonging to this species, with a circumference of 410 cm), hornbeam (Carpinus betulus), wild pear (Pyrus pyraster), trembling poplars (Populus tremula, P. alba) and field maple (Acer campestre).
