About 12 km from Cluj-Napoca lies Chinteni Lake, a natural lake owned by Chinteni Town Hall and managed by AJVPS Cluj. The lake is set up for fishing and hosts sport fishing competitions. The groundwater has varying degrees of mineralization and notable hardness, while the deep waters are highly mineralized and not drinkable.
